Compassionate Children and Young People's Community Care Specialist

At Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Children and Young People's Community Nursing Service team.
With a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, this exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people across the community.
About the RoleThis nursing role within our Children and Young People's Community Nursing Service is focused on delivering high-quality clinical care and associated public health services to children, young people, and their families. As a member of our dedicated team, you will contribute to the development of local policy and practice standards, ensuring that they align with national best practices.
You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, statutory agencies, and third sector organizations to deliver specialist community nursing services, promoting the health and wellbeing of children and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe and high-quality nursing care to children and young people on the caseload.
- Collaborating with the Team Lead to ensure consistent delivery of safe quality nursing care.
- Implementing and writing clinical policies and standards, evaluating and adjusting them as required.
- Managing staff development and performance within the team, providing supervision and appraisals.
- Educating junior staff on leadership and best clinical practices.
- Maintaining accurate and legible records, adhering to Trust policy.
- Supporting child protection processes, coordinating efforts with the Safeguarding Team.
