Children's Community Nursing Specialist

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Children's Community Nursing Specialist to join their team. This role will play a crucial part in providing high-quality nursing care to children and young people in the community.
About the Role- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of quality nursing care, support, information, and advice to children and young people on their caseload.
- They will also provide education and support to staff, promoting clinical specialist knowledge and skills for the delivery of nursing care.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience working with young people and possess a range of clinical competencies appropriate to the role.
- They will also have experience of teaching, planning, managing, and co-ordinating programs of care in collaboration with other allied health, social, education, and volunteer agencies.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure safe care and best nursing practice.
- Provide teaching on the use of equipment and treatment regimes in the community for children, families/carers, and staff involved.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care interventions, including telephone advice and support.
- Act as a resource and role model of children's community nursing specialist practice to all other professionals and work colleagues.
- RN Child / RSCN (or experience of working with children in acute/community healthcare)
- Continued professional development, including evidence or reflective practice in service training, any course attended, and clinical experience gained
- A recognised teaching and assessing qualification, 998 or Learning Through Mentorship
- This role offers a competitive salary of £33,664 - £41,787 per annum, depending on experience.
