Polaris Community is committed to delivering high-quality foster care services in Essex. We are seeking an experienced Foster Care Specialist to join our team.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting foster parents, promoting the welfare of children placed with us, and collaborating with local authorities and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents within a realistic caseload
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with children, young people, and foster parents to ensure full participation in assessment, planning, review, and decision-making processes

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized qualification in social work, a comprehensive working knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation, and excellent communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £37,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a car allowance, annual leave, company pension, life assurance, and employee discounts.

This role requires flexibility, as you will be working across Hampshire and surrounding areas. A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own vehicle is necessary.
