Job Overview

The primary objective of this position is to lead a team of healthcare professionals, including clinicians and support staff, within a designated area. The focus is on delivering safe, effective, and compassionate services as part of a comprehensive Urgent and Emergency Care System.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing operations across various settings, including responding to emergency calls, liaising with hospitals, and conducting team meetings and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Local Area Manager and Team Leaders, the successful candidate will assist in the daily operations of the locality, emphasizing staff welfare, operational efficiency, and optimal use of resources.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • HCPC Registered Paramedic or equivalent qualification in Nursing/Allied Health Professions.
  • Proven managerial experience or relevant qualifications.
  • Valid UK manual driving license with C1 category and minimal penalty points.

Desirable Criteria

  • Completion of the NARU Operational Commander Course within the last year.

Skills & Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Quick decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in mentoring and clinical supervision.
  • Proven ability to manage teams effectively.

Desirable Criteria

  • Familiarity with managing hospital turnaround processes.
