Job Title: Children's Palliative Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and caring Children's Palliative Care Assistant to join our team at East Anglia's Children's Hospices. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share your passion for providing exceptional care and support to babies, children, and young people with life-threatening conditions.

About the Role

As a Children's Palliative Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our service users and their families. Your responsibilities will include administering medicines, observing changes in condition, and maintaining accurate records.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Administer medicines as an authorised practitioner
* Observe any changes in the baby's, child's/young person's condition and promptly seek advice and report back to a Registered Nurse or appropriate professional
* Maintain accurate records, using the SystmOne electronic records system in accordance with best practice guidance
* Work effectively within a team, sharing knowledge and skills, and providing mentoring, teaching, and support to junior or less experienced staff

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A foundation degree or relevant demonstrable experience
  • GCSE grade 4/C or above in maths
  • Basic I.T. skills
  • A full driving licence and own transport (for travelling to locations to deliver care)

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £24,071 - £29,114 per annum, depending on experience.
