Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Children's Disability Practitioner, working on a casual basis to support our varied staffing needs. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the chance to work in different services across Norfolk, including Springwood, Foxwood, Marshfields, and the CWD Outreach Team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide meaningful daily activities to develop emotional and social needs, building positive relationships with children and young people with disabilities.
  2. Support independence skills, including personal care tasks such as feeding, washing, toileting, dressing, hoisting, and administering medication.
  3. Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to ensure best outcomes for children and young people with disabilities.
Requirements
  • A high level of motivation, resilience, and positivity to thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
  • The ability to form effective relationships with children with disabilities, leveraging your life experiences, personal strength, and positive attitude.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development, with a willingness to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Child Care.
