Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Childcare Support Worker to join our team at East Anglia's Children's Hospices. As a Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to babies, children, and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families.

Key Responsibilities

As a Childcare Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering person-centered care to designated patients, including admission and discharge, medicines management, and care requiring technology or specific techniques
  • Co-ordinating and leading planned care shifts for stable patients, allocating care and managing routine tasks as required
  • Participating in family wellbeing groups and events, and hydrotherapy sessions

Requirements

  • Essential: Working with children or young people in a professional setting, ability to undertake physical activities and manual handling, full UK driver's license, and own transport
  • Desirable: Experience working with children and young people with complex health needs, delivery of end-of-life care, and using technology and complex equipment

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £24,071 - £29,114 per annum, dependent on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including enhanced annual leave entitlement, subsidized meals, and an AVIVA pension package up to 7% Employer Contribution.
