Youth Residential Care Specialist

Our Residential Settings across Belfast are seeking experienced professionals like you to provide high-quality care and support to young people aged 12-17 and 8-12. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment.
Remuneration DetailsThe remuneration package includes an estimated hourly rate of £15-£18 per hour, based on your specific work schedule. The breakdown is as follows:
- Band 4 Salary (Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 8.00pm): £14.49 per hour
- Band 4 Unsociable Hours (Monday to Friday, 8.00pm to 6.00am & Saturday): £18.45 per hour
- Band 4 Unsociable Hours (Sunday and Public Holidays): £22.84 per hour
As a Residential Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct care and support to young people, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
- Contributing to the development of care plans and advocating for service users' rights.
- Collaborating with colleagues to create a positive, inclusive environment that promotes growth and empowerment.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C, including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or above, or equivalent; plus a minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
- OR
- NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent; plus a minimum of 1 year's experience working with young people who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
A full driving licence and access to a car are also required.
