Keenan Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Professional to join their team in Belfast.

About the Role:

  • This position involves providing residential care for young people aged 12-17, as well as those aged 8-12, and supporting unaccompanied minors.

Salary Information:

  • The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, based on a 40-hour workweek and an hourly rate of £15.41 (Band 4 support workers working Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 8.00pm).
  • A premium rate of £20.58 applies to unsociable hours worked (Sunday and public holidays 24 hours) and can impact overall annual earnings.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 4 GCSEs (grades A-C), including English language and mathematics at grade C or above, plus 2 years' experience working with young people who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  2. NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent, plus 1 year's experience working with young people who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviors.

A driving licence and access to a car are also required for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
