About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available within our Residential Settings across Belfast, where you will be working with young people aged 12-17 and 8-12. Your primary responsibility will be to provide residential care and support for unaccompanied minors, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package includes a competitive hourly rate of approximately £14-£17 per hour, based on your specific work schedule. This breaks down into:

  • Band 4 Salary (Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 8.00pm): £13.23 per hour
  • Band 4 Unsociable Hours (Monday to Friday, 8.00pm to 6.00am & Saturday): £17.31 per hour
  • Band 4 Unsociable Hours (Sunday and Public Holidays): £21.51 per hour
Job Description

You will be working as part of a dynamic team that provides specialist care and support services to vulnerable young people. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering high-quality care and support tailored to each young person's needs.
  2. Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the overall success of the team.
  3. Fostering positive relationships with colleagues, service users, and other stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C, including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or above, or equivalent; plus a minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
  • OR
  • NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent; plus a minimum of 1 year's experience working with young people who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

Please note that a full driving licence and access to a car are also essential requirements.
