About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Administration Team at St Austell Community Hospital.

The successful candidate will work primarily as a Ward Clerk, providing administrative support to other departments as needed. This role will involve evening cover and weekends, with hours negotiable and a variable shift pattern to cover our services 8 am - 8 pm, 7 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange patient transport as directed by patients, carers, and other organizations.
  • Ensure that Rio is up to date with the wards' bed status.
  • Integra ordering for the ward stocks.
  • Use Rio to admit, discharge, and transfer patients onto the wards.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an administrative setting, using electronic and paper-based information systems, and possess basic numeracy and literacy skills.

We are looking for someone who can work effectively as part of a team and independently, using initiative when dealing with queries, and maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
