Administrative Support Specialist

The Brook Street company requires a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the Statutory Assessment and Review Service in Belfast.
This role involves advising Education Authority officers, customers, and other professionals as directed by the Programme Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert administrative support using IT equipment such as word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email, fax, intranet, and internet facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative assistance to the programme manager and education authority officers.
- Answering telephone calls and queries from customers and clients, accurately recording call conversations, and escalating when necessary.
- Collating factual data and statistical information from various sources to support the work of identified officers.
- Preparing letters, minutes, notes, and other clerical support as directed by the programme manager.
- Ordering and monitoring supplies of stationery and office requisitions for all staff within the section, along with diary management of stakeholders.
- Delegating tasks to the office team in the absence of senior management.
£12.52 per hour
Working Hours36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Required Skills and QualificationsKey Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
