Support Worker Opportunity

Glenholme Healthcare Group Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Birchwood House service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care & Support: Provide individualized care and support to residents, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Teaching of Independent Living Skills: Assist residents in developing essential life skills, such as household management, budgeting, and shopping.
  • Community-Based Activities: Organize and participate in community-based activities, including swimming, social events, and leisure activities, to promote socialization and engagement.
  • Support to Develop New Hobbies and Interests: Encourage residents to explore new hobbies and interests, fostering personal growth and development.
  • Household Tasks: Assist residents with daily household tasks, maintaining a safe and clean living environment.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is around £11.50-£12.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Birchwood House is a specialist home providing individualized care and support to residents with complex needs.

Birchwood Lodge is a supported living service catering to the unique needs of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and complex behaviors.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
  • We offer full training and enhanced specialist training to support your professional growth.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
