We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Witham Prospect School, providing care and support to children and young people with Severe Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Complex Care.
Responsibilities- To provide individualised care plans and positive behaviour support strategies to meet the needs of our residents.
- Promote choice, independence, dignity, privacy, and fulfillment of rights for our service users.
- To effectively manage challenging behavior using approved approaches defined within Positive Behaviour Support plans and Sherwood training.
- A willingness to complete the NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare if not already held.
- An understanding of Safeguarding practice and a commitment to ongoing training in this area.
- Ability to work as part of a professional team, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
- Caring and compassionate approach towards individuals requiring care and support.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
The estimated salary for this role is £22,500 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits including a Bike-to-Work scheme, full-funded DBS checks, meals provided on day shifts, an automatic pension scheme, death in service insurance, Christmas bonus, loyalty bonuses, and opportunities for career progression.
