Job Opportunity: Young People Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Young People Support Worker to join our team in Lincoln. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with vulnerable groups and must be capable of working independently within a community setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Keyworker for a group of young people, coordinating their support and developing personalized plans
  • Work closely with Senior Support Workers and external agencies to deliver housing-related support and personal development programs
  • Facilitate regular consultations, guide young people on budgeting and welfare benefits claims, and apply safeguarding protocols to ensure client welfare
  • Run activity programs and group sessions as required
  • Perform minor property maintenance tasks

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with vulnerable groups, preferably in a support role
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection protocols
  • Experience with housing management tasks, including property maintenance
  • Ability to respond to challenging behaviors constructively
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills

Working Arrangements:

  • 35 hours per week, rotating shift pattern (Tuesday - Friday, Monday - Thursday, Thursday - Sunday)
  • £17.14 per hour LTD company rate / £14.61 per hour PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay
  • Potential for contract extension
