Witham Prospect School is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to children with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £25,000 - £30,000.

About the Role
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual who can support children to meet their needs using individual care plans and positive behaviour support plans.
  • The ideal candidate will promote choice, independence, dignity, privacy, and rights of the children in their care.
  • Prior experience working with children with disabilities is essential, as well as knowledge of safeguarding practices and willingness to undergo additional training.
Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to children with complex needs, including managing challenging behaviour using approved approaches.
  • Assist children with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work flexibly.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and act in a professional manner at all times.
