You will join a highly driven pharmacy team committed to delivering the highest standards of patient-centered care.

  • Initiate medication reconciliation for newly admitted patients.
  • Maintain accredited MOPTs and/or Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) training.

  • Communicate discharge information effectively to patients, community pharmacies, and general practitioners.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the pharmacy technician's role in Medicines Optimisation at both inpatient and community team levels.
  • Participate in pharmacy technician-led dispensing duties as required.
  • Lead clozapine blood test reviews, including ordering and releasing results.
  • Engage actively in Quality Improvement projects and clinical audits.
  • Organize clinical workloads and staffing to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate stock control and oversee the management of medications on wards and in the dispensary.
  • Supervise junior pharmacy technicians, pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and students at the team level.

Candidates should have recent experience in medicines optimisation and hold accreditations in both medicines management and as an accredited checking pharmacy technician (ACPT). Those lacking these essential qualifications may be considered for a band 4 to 5 progression, with a tailored development program.
