We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to oversee the medicines management service and lead the clinical pharmacy technician and assistant team across various healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the development and delivery of medicines management services.
- Formulate and execute policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of pharmacy services.
- Collaborate with Care Group Pharmacists to address medicines management needs.
- Manage and provide training for pharmacy technicians and assistants.
- Ensure quality assurance of pharmacy services, including the establishment of quality indicators.
- Actively participate in pharmacy technician management initiatives across the organization.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancement within clinical areas and collaborate with senior pharmacists to implement improvements.
- Monitor and report on clinical pharmacy service activities, including training responsibilities.
- Facilitate effective communication regarding developments in the medicines management service.
- Contribute to the development and review of departmental policies impacting pharmacy operations.
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Completed a General Pharmaceutical Council-approved integrated competency and knowledge-based qualification.
- Possess a Level 3 qualification in management or equivalent senior management experience.
- Extensive post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy practice with demonstrated competencies.
- Proven experience in team management.
- Background in strategic planning and service development.
- Experience in leading research and audit initiatives.
