Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Lead

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician to take on a leadership role in medicines management across the Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the medicines management service, working closely with the lead medicines management pharmacy technicians on each site.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional leadership and supervision in managing and developing the medicines management services in the Trust.
  • Induction and training for all staff working within the medicines management team for clinical services.
  • Effective and efficient medicines management services to wards, departments, and patients.
  • Play a pivotal role in education, training, and appraisal of pharmacy staff.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician.
  • Significant post-registration experience within a hospital setting.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, allocating work as necessary, working to tight and often changing deadlines.
