Lead Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Hca Cancer Network. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and operational management for our core pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement service development strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services
  • Manage workforce planning, operational services, and training and development of the technical team
  • Analyse relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), audit, and financial results and prepare reports
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Leadership team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, innovative pharmacy service

Requirements:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Pharmacy NVQ Level 3 plus accredited underpinning knowledge (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent) or equivalent
  • Experience of training, supervising, and managing staff
  • Knowledge of Omnicell, Meditech, and Datix incident reporting system (desirable)
  • Knowledge of medicines management systems at ward level and requirements of ACPT (desirable)
