About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Aspect Healthcare. As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supervising and leading a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.
  • Oversee the accurate dispensing and distribution of medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor medication inventory levels across the hospital, ordering supplies as needed and maintaining appropriate stock levels to meet patient demand.
  • Implement and maintain quality governance procedures to ensure the safety, efficacy, and integrity of pharmaceutical products and services.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the pharmacy department, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Will have NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician or equivalent.
  • Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a pharmacy setting is desirable but not essential.
