As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving product growth and sales across the UK, increasing uptake of our membership, training, events and sponsorship products and services. You will be the vital link connecting us and businesses across the engineering community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Management: Partner and build relationships with key accounts to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our reach and increase revenue.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, from apprentices to directors, to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Travel: Represent IMechE at customer and industry events across the UK.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in relationship management or business development.
  • Good understanding of CRM systems such as MS Dynamics.
  • Financial and commercial awareness, with strong budget management skills.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting engineers and organisations towards growth and improvement.
  • Able to work with a wide range of clients, from apprentices to directors.
  • Previous experience working in a membership-based environment beneficial, but not essential.
  • Fully qualified driving licence required.
