Clinical Fellow in Transplant and Vascular Access Surgery

The Clinical Fellow in Transplant and Vascular Access Surgery will be part of a dynamic team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This 100% clinical fellowship provides exposure to all aspects of transplant and dialysis access surgery. The fellow will attend operating lists, including live donor work, PD lists, and vascular access lists. Responsibilities also include attending ward rounds, managing in-patients, and participating in transplant and access outpatient clinics. The fellow will be involved in recipient evaluation, living donor evaluation, and post-transplant clinics, as well as access clinics for vascular access and peritoneal dialysis. The Clinical Fellow will join a rota with existing SpRs and Fellows covering the surgical Middle-grade on-call.
Person Specification- On GMC's register with a Licence to Practice or eligible to apply for GMC registration and a Licence to Practice
- Appropriate Royal College Membership: MRCS
- MD, PhD
- FRCS or Equivalent
- Evidence of achievement appropriate to appointment at Senior Clinical Fellow level at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
- Demonstrable interest in transplantation
- Significant experience in general / urological / vascular surgery
- IT Skills and computer literacy
- Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority
- Proven skills in leading, motivating, developing, and managing the performance of colleagues
- Management of staff
- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff
- Understanding of principles of clinical audit
- Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements
