Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in transplantation and significant experience in general, urological, and vascular surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of surgical procedures for living and deceased donor transplantation, laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy, and general surgery.
  • Participate in outpatient clinics, including recipient evaluation, living donor evaluation, post-transplant clinics, and access clinics.
  • Engage with clinic audit and teach undergraduate and elective students.

Person Specification:

  • On GMC's register with a Licence to Practice or eligible to apply for GMC registration and a Licence to Practice.
  • Appropriate Royal College Membership: MRCS.

Desirable Criteria:

  • MD, PhD.
  • FRCS or Equivalent.

Academic Achievements Including Research/Publications:

  • Evidence of achievement appropriate to appointment at Senior Clinical Fellow level at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Experience/Skills:

  • Demonstrable interest in transplantation.
  • Significant (3+ years) experience in general, urological, and vascular surgery.
  • IT Skills and computer literacy.

Leadership/Management Skills:

  • Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority.
  • Have proven skills in leading, motivating, developing, and managing the performance of colleagues.

Teaching and Training:

  • Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates, and junior medical staff.

Audit:

  • Understanding of principles of clinical audit.

Language:

  • Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfill the job requirements.
