Cleveland Clinic London is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of cardiac surgery. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Fellow to join our team in the Cardiac Surgery department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily admission and management of patients on the cardiac unit, including medical and post-op surgical cardiac/vascular and cardiothoracic patients.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist consultants and nursing professionals to ensure that patients' treatment and care needs are met.
  • Manage cardiac/cardiothoracic patients, including those undergoing cardiac procedures such as cardiac ablation, pacemaker insertion, TAVI and percutaneous coronary intervention, and cardiothoracic operations including coronary artery bypass graft, valve replacement and pulmonary resections.
  • Lead and assist with new admissions and inpatient consultations, including morning and evening multidisciplinary ward rounds.
  • Proactively identify patients who qualify for early mobilisation, are at clinical risk or may need a longer length of stay.
Requirements:
  • Current UK visa or permission to work.
  • Higher degrees including MSc, PhD or MD (where research thesis not part of first medical degree) (desirable).
  • Competent in routine clinical skills including venepuncture, blood cultures, arterial sampling and urethral catheters.
  • Competent in leading an adult cardiac arrest team (CALS).
  • Competent in the peri-operative management of cardiac patients including basic assessment, investigation and management.
