Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert physiotherapy services to patients with vascular conditions.

Main Responsibilities

The Clinical Vascular Scientist will be responsible for:

  • Providing physiotherapy services to patients with vascular conditions, including prehabilitation and rehabilitation.
  • Supervising junior physiotherapy staff and contributing to the development of the physiotherapy team.
  • Participating in audit and research activities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Developing and implementing physiotherapy programs to meet the needs of patients with vascular conditions.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years' relevant clinical experience.
  • 2 years' experience at Band 6 level in respiratory, covering colorectal surgery, chronic disease management, and ITU.
  • Experience of supervising junior physiotherapy staff.
  • Experience of teaching students and peers.
  • Experience of audit and research processes.

Desirable Criteria

The following criteria would be desirable:

  • Previous prehabilitation experience.
  • Previous experience at Band 7 level.
  • Previous management of patients following colorectal surgery.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Competent IT skills.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and delegate.
  • Ability to appraise and develop team members through the IPR process.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
