Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Vascular Scientist at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our vascular team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Vascular Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical expertise in the assessment and management of patients with vascular conditions
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members
  • Participating in audit and research activities to improve patient outcomes

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 4 years relevant clinical experience
  • 2 years of experience at Band 6 level in respiratory, covering colorectal surgery, chronic disease management and ITU
  • Supervision of junior physiotherapy staff
  • Experience of teaching students and peers
  • Experience of audit / research process

Desirable Criteria

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Previous prehabilitation experience
  • Previous experience at Band 7 level
  • Previous management of patients following colorectal surgery

Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Competent IT skills
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate
  • Ability to appraise and develop team members through the IPR process
  • To be able to communicate effectively
