About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist Specialist to join our team, providing evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The successful candidate will possess a recognised postgraduate level training in a psychological therapy and be professionally registered. They will lead the low-intensity and high-intensity clinicians working within the Specialist MHST, with a passion for working with Autistic Children and young people with or without a learning disability.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with education settings, providing assessments and interventions to children and young people in need. The postholder will receive regular supervision and have opportunities to link with other specialist practitioners in the trust.

Main Duties

  • Deliver evidence-based intervention for children and young people in education settings with mild to moderate mental health problems and additional needs.
  • Supporting and facilitating staff in education settings to identify and where appropriate manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Working with and within education environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services.
  • Provide effective leadership and/or management to staff, promoting high performance standards both individually and as a team.

Person Specification

  • Recognised/accredited postgraduate level training in a psychological therapy.
  • Professionally registered.

Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. The NHS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and flexible working options.
