Diagnostic Assessor and Therapist

This role involves conducting diagnostic assessments, developing service plans, and providing effective treatment services to youth with mental health disorders referred from Winchester City Public Schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to identify youth with mental health disorders.
  • Develop individualized service plans to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy services to support positive outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies and facilities serving children, youth, and families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant human services field (Master's preferred).
  • 1+ year of clinical experience working with youth and their families.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) licensure or eligible.
  • Clean driving record and ability to provide transportation as needed.

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to allergenic environments from clients' homes.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $60,577.00 annual salary.
  • Participation in the Virginia Retirement System.
  • Full-time benefits package including enrollment in the Virginia Retirement System.
