Job Description

Job Title: Security Supervisor

Job Summary:

Vigilant Security is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Supervisor to lead our security team in Central London. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day security operations, supervising a team of security officers, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service to our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and manage a team of security officers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Security Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of security services, including shift handovers, incident reporting, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Provide a prompt, polite, and professional service to clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Security Control Room: Oversee the Security Control Room, ensuring that all security systems are functioning correctly and that incidents are reported and responded to promptly.
  • Key Management: Audit and manage keys and assets, ensuring that they are secure and accounted for.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other service providers and the wider security team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, such as bomb threats, fire alarms, and protests, ensuring that the situation is managed effectively and that all stakeholders are informed and updated.
  • Uniform and Presentation: Ensure that all security officers on duty are properly uniformed and present themselves in a clean and professional manner.

Minimum Candidate Specification:

  • Qualifications: Must have a valid Door Supervisor and CCTV licence.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Customer Service Skills: Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high level of service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work weekend day shifts and weekday nights.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Initiative: Ability to work independently, using own initiative and strong leadership skills.
