Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented Lead IT Security Engineer to become a vital member of our dynamic team. In this capacity, you will:

  • Serve as the primary resource for technical inquiries related to IT security from clients and team members, with a focus on security systems, networking, CCTV, and software.
  • Play a pivotal role in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to security protocols, and maintaining the highest standards of installation.
  • Offer expert advice on security architecture, technologies, and best practices to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of systems and data.
  • Facilitate training for team members on CCTV networking, system operations, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Additional Duties:

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, you will:

  • Provide technical insights regarding software systems and CCTV configurations.
  • Analyze client security specifications and offer constructive feedback to assist in designing and quoting new installations.
  • Inform management and clients about emerging technologies and pinpoint opportunities for upgrades. Maintain current documentation of processes and procedures for proper installation.
  • Oversee the on-site activities of project engineers, assisting with the commissioning of installations and providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in meetings with senior management as the technical authority of the department, offering knowledge and guidance to our clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Director and Project Managers to ensure projects are managed effectively and completed on time, meeting client expectations.
  • Work in tandem with the Maintenance Manager to address technical challenges and inquiries.
  • Conduct quality assessments of engineers' installation work and approve completed tasks as necessary.
  • Undertake any other reasonable responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Director to meet the operational needs of the business.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the Security/IT sector.
  • Essential experience and qualifications in IT and IP networking.
  • CCNA Certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in software configuration and CCTV systems.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with colleagues and clients at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept problem solver, capable of troubleshooting and providing feedback to clients.
