Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team in Central London. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a security-focused team and delivering a high-quality service to our clients and service users. You will be self-driven with a proactive mindset, able to set an example as a strong, caring, and inspiring supervisor, and champion success and support where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Oversee all aspects of your team and report to the Security Manager.
  • Training and Compliance: Ensure all staff on the shift are fully trained and compliant with policies and procedures.
  • Shift Handovers: Ensure shift handovers are reviewed and completed to a high standard.
  • Service Delivery: Proactively supervise the team to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Incident Reporting: Ensure completion of comprehensive incident reports and submitted within the agreed timeframe.
  • Customer Service: Provide a prompt, polite, and professional service at all times.
  • Security Control Room: Oversee the Security Control Room.
  • Audit and Compliance: Audit keys and assets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other service providers and the wider security team to achieve shared goals through a 'one-team approach.'
  • Knowledge and Competence: Have a full understanding of the cross-functions covered by each division, including Post Room, Loading Bay, Security Control Room, and Incident Management.
  • Problem-Solving: Plan and implement solutions in a dynamic environment to ensure security is not compromised and works or events are facilitated.
  • Physical Protective Systems: Have an in-depth understanding and competence of Physical Protective Systems, such as CCTV and access control, key management, x-ray systems, etc.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to all emergencies, including bomb threats, fire alarms, intrusion, protests, etc.
  • Uniform and Presentation: Ensure all staff on duty have full uniform and of high standard with a clean-cut presentation at all times.

Minimum Candidate Specification:

  • Licenses and Certifications: Must have a valid Door Supervisor and CCTV license.
  • Communication Skills: Encourages open and honest communication.
  • Professional Attributes: Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player that is willing to lead by example.
  • Leadership Skills: Motivates members through vision, inspiration, confidence, and positive energy.
  • Experience: Previous experience in staff management/supervision or similar roles.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Customer Service: Must have a clear understanding and able to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
  • Availability: Able to work weekend day shifts and weekday nights.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Must be able to demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure and must be fit to carry out all duties.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and be able to write professional emails to key stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Ability to work independently with confidence, using own initiative, and have strong leadership skills.
