We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Leader to join our team at the Kent Autistic Trust, providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and related difficulties.

The salary for this role is £25,500 - 30,000 per annum, including overtime, which is a competitive offer considering the location and industry standards.

As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our services meet the diverse needs of the people we support, promoting their independence, choice, and well-being. You will work closely with your team to provide hands-on support, guidance, and supervision, helping them develop their skills and confidence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct supervision, coaching, and mentoring of support staff;
  • Identifying staff training needs and ensuring they receive relevant support;
  • Managing finances, communicating effectively with families and stakeholders;
  • Administering medication, maintaining accurate records, and upholding individual privacy and dignity;
  • Supporting individuals with challenging behaviors, additional needs, and complex health requirements;
  • Lone working, sleep-in shifts, and occasional travel may be required.
