East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Dietitian to join the team at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury as a highly specialist Neurological Dietitian in an expanding department.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Dietitian to take on a leadership role in the management of adults with complex nutritional needs. As a highly specialist Neurological Dietitian, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide expert nutritional advice and develop effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • To lead the advanced assessment, treatment, and management of patients requiring dietetic input.
  • To jointly lead the dietetic team and provide clinical supervision and teaching.
  • Involvement in service improvement and clinical audit projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics or a relevant degree with postgraduate diploma in Dietetics.
  • Health Professions Council registration for Dietetics.
  • Experience of providing dietetic treatment in a specialist area, including working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervisory experience and the ability to teach effectively.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning skills and excellent communication skills.
