About the Role

This is a business-critical position that will have a significant impact on the commercial success of projects. As a Senior Estimator and Project Manager, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and managing all phases of interior construction projects from inception to completion.

You will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal and external teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The high-level management aspect of the role is to develop and grow the company's ability to deliver high-quality, accurate and comprehensive estimates for our valuable clients to address their specific requirements and preparing these in a clear, detailed format and overseeing the successful delivery of these projects, liaising with the site managers.

There will also be a significant element of estimating and project management for projects based in the South West, so this role is both a management and 'hands-on' role at this stage.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Managing internal and external Project Managers/Estimators team
  2. Developing the project delivery processes, subcontractor management, pricing and estimating procedures to deliver profitable projects and ensure client satisfaction
  3. Site visits to meet trades, attend client meetings and survey buildings for preparation of plans
  4. Liaising with the sales team and receiving of project details for quotation
  5. Creating works schedules and programmes for sub-contractors to price from
  6. Creating detailed costed quotations to cover scope of works
  7. Managing the panel production department
  8. Project management of the site agents on projects across the whole of the South West region
Requirements

The role will suit someone who is hungry for more success and actively looking to progress to the next stage of their career.

The successful applicant will have proven experience in producing accurate, detailed quotations and project managing commercial and/or educational premises refurbishments in conjunction with our Interior Designers and Sales team.

It's expected that you'll have a degree level qualification such as a BSc in Quantity Surveying. You will almost certainly have experience of working for a main contractor as a QS.
