Job Overview: Merrifield Consultants is seeking an experienced Philanthropy Development Manager to lead the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing major donors, trusts, and statutory bodies. This role involves driving significant income growth by developing inspiring fundraising cases of support and impact reporting.

The successful candidate will have a track record of achieving challenging income targets and effective prospect management. They will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects giving at the five and six figure gift level, with a particular focus on generating major gifts from new donors.

This position has line management responsibility for three experienced fundraisers who manage their own portfolios of Major Donors, Trusts, and Foundations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive income growth from major donors, trusts, and statutory bodies.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with existing and potential major donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects, identifying opportunities for major gifts.
