Philanthropy Manager Role Overview

Merrifield Consultants is partnering with The Rainbow Trust, a renowned charity in Surrey, to find an exceptional Philanthropy Manager. This role will drive the growth of existing supporters and new prospects giving at the five and six figure gift level.

About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement, the Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects, with a focus on generating major gifts from new donors. The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for three experienced fundraisers who manage their own portfolios of Major Donors, Trusts, and Foundations.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the growth of existing supporters and new prospects giving at the five and six figure gift level
  • Manage a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects
  • Generate major gifts from new donors
  • Lead a team of three experienced fundraisers
Requirements
  • Experienced and enthusiastic Philanthropy Manager with a track record of achieving challenging income targets
  • Background in a children's charity or SME with ownership of strategic planning is particularly welcome
  • Poised, confident and convincing communicator with strong negotiation, presentation and networking skills
