Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization.

About the Role:

The Head of HSEQ - Rail will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing effective HSSE strategies and procedures
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Collaborating with the management team to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting incidents as required
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner qualification (CMIOSH)
  • In-depth knowledge of rail-specific health and safety regulations and standards
  • Proven experience in leading HSSE teams in a construction or infrastructure environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
