Network Rail Town Planning Technician

Network Rail is seeking a skilled Town Planning and Asset Management Expert to join their team. As a key member of the town planning team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of town planning services and providing technical support and assistance to ensure effective results.
The role involves working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to assess, consult, and respond to town planning consultations for third-party development near the railway within statutory deadlines. You will also provide technical support to the team on all town planning services as required.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in town planning and asset management, working closely with experienced professionals in the field.
About the Job- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: Up to £29,469 per annum plus London Allowance
- Location: Southern Region
Responsibilities:
- Deliver an efficient and effective third-party asset protection service on behalf of Network Rail in compliance with external statutory timescales and processes.
- Provide technical support to the team including preparing and submitting statutory planning and related notifications and applications, submitting appeals, and responding to statutory development plan consultations.
Requirements:
- Skilled in the use of technical administration, data management, and geographic information systems and software applications.
- Experience within the rail industry.
- Town planning experience.
- Full Driving Licence.
