As a Railway Asset Protection Specialist with Network Rail, you will play a key role in supporting the town planning team and providing technical support and assistance to ensure the effective delivery of town planning services.

The role involves assessing, consulting, and responding to town planning consultations for third-party development near the railway within statutory deadlines. You will also provide technical support to the team on all town planning services as required.

You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver an efficient and effective third-party asset protection service on behalf of Network Rail in compliance with external statutory timescales and processes.

About the Role
  1. Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of all Town Planning services and third-party asset protection work.
  2. Consult within Network Rail and advise and negotiate with local authorities to deliver the third-party asset protection service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver an efficient and effective third-party asset protection service on behalf of Network Rail in compliance with external statutory timescales and processes.
  2. Provide technical support to the team including preparing and submitting statutory planning and related notifications and applications, submitting appeals, and responding to statutory development plan consultations.

Requirements:

  1. Skilled in the use of technical administration, data management, and geographic information systems and software applications.
  2. Experience within the rail industry.
  3. Town planning experience.
  4. Full Driving Licence.
