Job Summary

We are seeking a Freight Operations Specialist to join our team at Colas Rail UK. The successful candidate will have a strong background in railway operations, with experience in managing ERTMS safety critical training and competency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage freight and artisan's competencies through effective systems.
  • Coordinate training and re-certification of artisans and freight Drivers.
  • Maintain the staff competency data base.
  • Develop training and assessment documentation.
  • Assist with Technical, Safety & incident investigations as required.
Requirements
  • A widely experienced railway person with an excellent knowledge of freight operation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in rail industry standards relating to ERTMS including operational safety, and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Hold Trainer, Assessor Qualifications.
  • Be willing to undertake further training as the post dictates.
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational ability.
  • Have excellent IT skills. Experience in administration organisation.
