About the Role:


We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pre-Construction Feasibility Manager to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. - A10. As a key member of our Design and Construction team (D&C), you will be responsible for evaluating the feasibility of complex logistics projects across EU countries.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Independently evaluate the feasibility of complex logistics projects, from shortlisting to site selection, evaluating permitting and contract execution, and coordinating with internal and external teams.
  • Keep the scope under control and accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.
  • Work with internal/external teams to secure resources, scope infrastructure builds, set priorities, milestones, and drive results through communicating, weighing risks, clearing blockers, making decisions, leading, and influencing.
  • Deal with cost estimations, manage Due Diligences, schedule tracking, and forecast fundamental components, including identifying and solving factors that may impede a successful permitted project hand-over to Amazon stakeholders.
  • Insist on the highest standards from self and others, driving accountability for results.
  • Lead and manage a team of externals and internals, including coaching and disciplinary actions, as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



  • A completed Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable field and solid demonstrable experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, Owner's project management representative, or other Commercial Development and Construction related disciplines.
  • Solid demonstrable project management experience from design phase through implementation and operation, negotiating construction, procurement, and labour contracts.
  • Experience within packaging processing/logistical facilities with complex equipment or comparable experience will be appreciated.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within assigned regions.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience operating within at least two disciplines in the construction industry, which could consist of General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design, Owner's project management representative, or similar.
  • Demonstrated capability in the planning, design review & implementation, and project management/control of new structures & the enhancement of existing facility buildings.
  • Influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating to various audiences (e.g., senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
  • Participation during a previous new FC Launch at Amazon in any role would be appreciated.
  • Additional EU languages are considered preferred qualification.
  • German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish are considered preferred qualification.


As a Senior Pre-Construction Feasibility Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of experts to deliver feasibility studies for logistics projects across EU countries. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating the feasibility of complex projects, ensuring that they meet Amazon's standards and requirements.
