Senior Pre-Construction Feasibility Manager

As a Senior Pre-Construction Feasibility Manager at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will lead cross-functional teams in evaluating the feasibility of potential construction projects, from shortlisting to site selection. You will drive innovation, standardize and scalable solutions to deliver high-quality buildings and capacity that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently evaluate the feasibility of complex industrial projects, coordinating with internal and external teams to contribute to the performance of the team, department, or company.

• Keep the scope under control, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.

• Collaborate with internal/external teams, including real estate, design engineering, construction, finance, launch/start-up, architects, engineers, permitting agencies, developers, and landlords to secure resources, scope infrastructure builds, set priorities, milestones, and drive results through communication, weighing risks, clearing blockers, making decisions, leading, and influencing.

• Ensure the highest standards are met from self and others, driving accountability for results.

A Day in the Life:

As a Senior Pre-Construction Feasibility Manager, you will represent Amazon UK Services Ltd. in ensuring the on-time and in-budget execution of construction projects, while strategically improving processes, costs, quality, H&S, and sustainability performance. You will lead and mentor cross-functional teams, drive significant communication across departments, and serve as an authority on project issues. You will leverage your experience and tools to understand where gaps exist in project plans and propose solutions.

Requirements

• A completed Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable field and solid demonstrable experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, or Owner's project management representative.

• Solid demonstrable project management experience from design phase through implementation and operation, negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.

• Experience within packaging processing/logistical facilities with complex equipment or comparable experience will be appreciated.

• Ability to travel up to 30% within assigned regions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating within at least two disciplines in the construction industry, which could consist of General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design, or similar.

• Demonstrated capability in the planning, design review & implementation, and project management/control of new structures & the enhancement of existing facility buildings.

• Influencing and negotiating skills.

• Demonstrated success in communicating to various audiences (e.g., senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.).
