Job Description:

This is a full-time, permanent role as a Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contract negotiations, managing compliance, and minimizing risks throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. The position involves working closely with Site Managers, clients, and senior management to ensure the smooth execution of contracts and compliance across all phases of existing and future projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the contract from award to completion and close-out, including day-to-day management and motivation of the contract delivery team.
  2. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and align with legal and regulatory requirements.
  3. Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and propose strategies to minimize them.
  4. Develop and manage budgets while maintaining high client satisfaction levels.
  5. Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to agreed terms.
  6. Collaborate with Site Managers, clients, and senior management to resolve contract-related issues.
  7. Built strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  8. Provide regular reports on contract statuses, risks, and opportunities to senior management.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry.
  2. Strong commercial awareness, including understanding contractual arrangements within large construction projects.
  3. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  4. Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
  5. Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. Experience managing multiple sites.

Salary and Benefits:

  • An estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
