Job Title: Construction Logistics Manager

We are seeking a skilled Construction Logistics Manager to join our team at the Europlan Group. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of materials, equipment, and resources across various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate material procurement and delivery to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and implement systems for tracking and reordering materials as needed.
  • Manage transportation modes, schedules, and routes to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Ensure safe and secure storage of materials and equipment, including setting up temporary on-site facilities or coordinating with off-site warehouses.
  • IDentify and mitigate logistical risks, addressing issues such as theft, damage, and delays in material deliveries.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for logistics-related expenses, monitoring and controlling costs to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards related to transportation and handling of construction materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to align logistics with project timelines and goals.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands, assigning vehicles, equipment, and personnel as needed.

Requirements:

  • Advanced or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, purchasing, operations management) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry is essential for understanding unique challenges and requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and technologies for logistics management.
  • Strong understanding of logistics principles, including procurement, inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage materials, equipment, and resources efficiently.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and cost control to ensure that logistics operations stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to construction logistics to ensure compliance.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
