Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at International Logistics Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing our people strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of all HR practices and processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with company goals and values.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, working closely with the HR Director and other stakeholders.
  • Advise and coach managers on HR processes, best practices, and policies, ensuring effective employee relations and talent management.
  • Support the recruitment process, working closely with the Recruitment team to attract and hire top talent.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Community, Health & Safety, and Sustainability teams to maintain a positive work environment and prioritize employee engagement through various wellbeing initiatives.
  • Build capability within the team through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing, leading by example and managing direct reports through support, feedback, objective setting, and progress reporting.
  • Support relevant project work, including organizational growth and change initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven HR experience in a multi-site operation, preferably in the logistics and warehousing industry.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent, with a strong understanding and practical application of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience of managing a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage employee relations issues, with exposure to or experience in talent management and recruitment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics and the ability to help create and roll out strategy.

Benefits:

  • Part-time position, with a minimum of 25 hours per week, flexible hours to be agreed.
  • Salary: pro rata of £55,000 per annum, depending on hours agreed.
  • Holidays: 25 days + public holidays.
