Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team at Stobart. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a seamless and efficient operational service to all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Provide effective first-line advice and guidance to people managers on all matters related to the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • HR Support: Offer a high-quality support service to HR, ensuring a fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide first-line advice, guidance, and coaching to line managers on HR-related matters, escalating complex or high-risk cases to HRBP as needed.
  • ER Meetings: Coordinate, attend, and provide support for ER meetings as required.
  • People-Related Changes: Responsible for the completion of people-related changes, including changes to Terms and Conditions and Approval to Recruit.
  • Data Analysis: Track and provide data as requested, using data to suggest and implement initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Champion and support group-wide processes, such as working with Central Functions in job evaluations and grading.
  • HR System Maintenance: Maintain HR System holding employee information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Training and Development: Partner with Learning and Development and line managers to support the identification and provision of training and development needs.
  • Process Review and Development: Consistently review and develop people-related processes, as appropriate, supporting the continual improvement of the function.
Requirements
  • CIPD Level 3 minimum.
  • Previous experience of working with a unionized workforce.
  • HR legislative understanding and knowledge.
  • Proven experience in advising on HR-associated matters.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Adaptable/flexible.
  • Determined and resilient attitude towards work.
  • Positive and credible with the ability to build trust, respect, and openness.
  • Commercial and proactive mindset.
  • High-level IT skills using MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
