Strategic Customer Engagement Specialist

As a key member of the Amazon team, you will be responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector organizations.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with Amazon customers on strategic opportunities, increase the growth of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EMEA region, and establish AWS as the key cloud technology provider for public sector clients.
- Contribute to developing Amazon's value proposition and solutions for public sector customers.
- Closely collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization for EMEA regional public sector sales teams, and related regional and global stakeholders (Service Teams, Finance, Legal, etc.).
- Act as a trusted advisor in the development of the commercial strategy of deals with AWS Field Sales Executives: partner in the execution of the sales cycle for strategic, complex, or highly competitive commercial opportunities.
- Develop strategies for pricing and discounts.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the public sector market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector customers, understanding their business needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of public sector customers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply that knowledge to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- 12+ years of experience working with customers on substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services/infrastructure deals.
- 12+ years of experience working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, and legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals.
- Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Technology or Finance (or equivalent work experience).
- Knowledge of public sector business.
- Fluency in English required: multilingual a plus.
