The Divisional Personal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the senior leadership team within the Surgery division at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

The postholder will be responsible for managing office systems, including filing, and maintaining confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information related to staff and services.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high IT literacy, and the ability to work autonomously. They will also be able to use their initiative and adapt to changing work patterns.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and circulating papers
  • Minute taking and follow-up of actions
  • Managing office systems and filing
  • Dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • Providing administrative support to the senior leadership team

Person Specification:

  • Essential criteria: NVQ 3 level or equivalent experience, detailed knowledge of administrative processes, and significant experience of working in an administrative role
  • Desirable criteria: healthcare environment experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of IT literacy and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use own initiative and adapt to changing work patterns
