Nurse Practitioner in Substance Use Services

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Turning Point UK. As a Recovery Nurse or Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP), you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to improve the well-being of service users.

Responsibilities:
- Prescribe medication for service users receiving opiate substitute therapy and manage community alcohol detoxifications.
- Deliver wellbeing clinics in the community, providing Blood Borne Virus testing and vaccination, and implementing harm reduction and well-being interventions.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary meeting with the Recovery Workers within your team, providing governance and supporting their learning and development.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or a qualified Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP).
- Confident in managing prescribing for opiates and managing alcohol detoxifications.
Benefits:
- We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 25 days' paid holiday a year + Bank Holidays, increasing with each year of service up to 27 days + Bank Holidays.
Full training is provided. No direct experience of substance use is required, but an ability to demonstrate providing effective health interventions would be advantageous.
